About me

I was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. When I was young, I didn’t pay much attention to wagashi, the traditional Japanese sweets. But after spending many years in Sydney, Australia, I began to look back at my own culture with fresh eyes. That was when I discovered just how beautiful wagashi truly are.

As I learned more, I was amazed by the way Japanese artisans capture the delicate moments of each season in these confections, often enjoyed with a bowl of matcha. They are not only sweets — they are meditative experiences, a way to pause, reflect, and find harmony.

Through my journey, I have come to love wagashi as an expression of Japanese aesthetics, mindfulness, and seasonal beauty. Now, I want to share this spirit of harmony with the world — one sweet moment at a time.

(Japanese)
